CMS & HellermannTyton Technology Update Seminar

On Wednesday 29th June 2016, we invited a group of our customers to join us at the HellermannTyton head office in Northampton for a Technology Update seminar.

Representatives from both CMS and HelllermannTyton were on hand to present a range of interesting topics to the customers who were present. The main aim was to provide these attendees with an overview of where the industry currently stands and introduce the latest technologies and standards (from Category 8 to IEEE 802.3bm/IEEE 802.3bz). Those in attendance were also informed of how these standards and technologies were relevant to them and how they would (if adopted) prove to be beneficial in the future.

After the presentations, attendees were also offered the opportunity of a factory tour at the Northampton site. The tour gave customers the chance to see behind-the-scenes the manufacturing process of HellermannTyton products (a rare view, as HellermannTyton is only one of a few cabling manufacturers with a UK based factory).

Overall the seminar proved to be very successful with a large number of CMS customers in attendance. The event received a lot of great, positive feedback.

Paul Axtell (National Sales Manager, CMS) commented, “The day was very well attended with a mixture of end users and installation companies from the Midlands and the South East. The content of the presentation was delivered very professionally by Jason James, HellermannTyton’s Technical Director and was relevant to everyone in the room. The whole day was planned and organised with the help of Karen Miller who made sure everyone was well looked after. All in all it was a great day and nice to catch up with some existing customers as well as meeting some new faces.”

Karen Miller (Channel Manager, HellermannTyton) added, “We thought the HellermannTyton Technology day with CMS was a big success. There was a lot of interest in the event and the attendance reflected that. It provided a great platform to discuss new technologies, and build relationships among the group. We certainly look forward to taking part in more events with CMS in the future.”
